What the Charts Show!

The chart to the immediate left shows the source of  CO2 emissions in the United States.

Nearly two thirds come from two sources-- the Generation of Electricity and the use of Gasoline.

The graph at the lower left shows the tremendous reductions required if the United States is to reduce CO2 emissions 80% by 2050. The U.S. Senate is debating legislation that will require an 80% reduction of CO2 emissions by 2050.

The graph shows that total U.S. emissions must be reduced to the same level they were in 1915

Carbon Folly explores how difficult it will be to achieve such a drastic cut in CO2 emissions.
